Simmondsia chinensis

Jojoba oil, often referred to as liquid gold, is not an oil but a liquid plant wax. Its remarkable molecular stability makes it an ideal carrier for various skincare applications. Jojoba's humectant properties work wonders by creating a protective barrier on the skin, effectively trapping in moisture while still allowing the skin to breathe. Packed with the goodness of vitamin E, antioxidants, and potent antimicrobial and antifungal compounds, jojoba oil is a versatile ingredient suitable for most skin types, given its noncomedogenic and hypoallergenic nature. Ricinus communis

Castor oil boasts ricinoleic acid, an unsaturated omega-9 fatty acid, which aids in enhancing lymphatic detoxification, boosting circulation, and supporting skin regeneration. Notably, castor oil showcases a remarkable array of qualities, including anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, and antibacterial properties. Simultaneously, vitamin E contributes to the oil's moisturizing capability while playing a vital role in promoting healthy skin growth, repair, and balance. Moreover, coconut oil's rich protein content nourishes the skin from the outside, ensuring a holistic approach to skin care. We employ this incredible ingredient as part of our Hemp Butter, Herbal Balm and Zen Cream.

We rely on organically grown, cold-pressed olive oil sourced from Ojai Olive Oil for our solar infusions, primarily due to its stability and remarkable fat content, which enables efficient extraction of nutrients from herbs.
