Shea Butter

Vitellaria paradoxa

Our shea butter is a luxurious, thick emollient obtained from a fair-trade women's cooperative in Senegal. It's sourced in its pure, raw, and unrefined state, meticulously crafted using traditional, hand-processing techniques. The result is a butter that retains its natural, raw essence, with each batch reflecting unique colors due to variations in climate and weather conditions. This exceptional butter is a treasure trove of vitamins, essential fatty acids, and minerals, making it a vital foundation for our Herbal Balm, Hemp Butter, Zen Cream, and Menthol Rub.

Kokum Butter

Garcinia indica

Our waxy kokum butter undergoes a gentle expeller-pressing method and is naturally refined using a cold-processed approach to eliminate impurities and sediment. This unique butter, although somewhat firm in texture, boasts an impressive content of up to 80% stearic-oleic-stearic (SOS) triglycerides, renowned for their remarkable ability to stimulate the regeneration of skin cells. This contributes to the restoration of skin elasticity and makes it a fundamental cornerstone ingredient in our Herbal Balm.

Beeswax

Beeswax, a timeless natural ingredient, has been an integral component in skin and personal care products for generations. It has demonstrated remarkable properties, offering soothing relief from inflammation, aiding in the healing of wounds, and exhibiting valuable antibacterial and antifungal characteristics. Our beeswax is sourced locally from Mission Beekeeping in the Ojai Valley. These dedicated beekeepers maintain the well-being of their hives with the utmost expertise and care. They employ meticulous techniques when harvesting and processing the beeswax, ensuring its exceptional quality.
