Kinesiology Face Tape

Our Japanese cotton kinesiology tape is a foundational tool for your daily face taping routine. Soft, breathable, and intentionally designed for the delicate tissues of the face, this tape supports relaxation of overworked muscles while encouraging lift, circulation, and lymphatic flow.

Offered as a roll, this tape is meant to be custom cut. From an anatomical perspective, each face is different — muscles vary in length, width, and pattern of tension. Cutting the tape specifically for your own face allows for more visible, more meaningful results over time.

DETAILS

  • Premium Japanese cotton

  • Gentle, skin-safe, heat-activated adhesive

  • Roll format for personalized cutting

  • Dimensions (L x W x H): ‎2.36 x 4.72 x 5.91 inches

  • Packaged in a plant-dyed, reusable muslin bag for storage

HOW TO USE

Begin with clean, dry skin. Cut the tape to the shape and length needed for your specific application. Apply with minimal stretch, following the natural orientation of the muscle. Once placed, gently rub the tape to activate the adhesive through body heat.

Face taping is most effective when practiced consistently and with intention.

FOR SENSITIVE SKIN

This tape is made with a gentle adhesive suitable for sensitive skin types. If you are new to face taping or have highly reactive skin, we recommend performing a patch test prior to full application. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

WHAT IS FACE TAPING?

Face taping is a daily practice where we use flexible, gentle adhesive kinesiology tape to influence the muscular and fascial systems of the face. The tape’s micro-cut weave allows it to gently lift the epidermis, creating space between the skin and subdermal tissues. This decompression supports improved circulation, enhances lymphatic flow, and helps to reduce muscle tension. Over time, tense facial muscles begin to relax, lengthen and return to proper function. When this happens, the skin is able to lay more evenly over the muscles, resulting in a smoother, softer appearance.

LEARN MORE

If you are new to face taping or want to expand your practice, our online Face Taping Course is available here. In this course, you will receive in-depth guidance on anatomy, cutting, placement, and technique.

The methods you’ll learn in this course are based on Emilee's training, anatomical study, and extensive practical testing. While there are multiple schools of thought regarding face taping, what Emilee presents is a simple, streamlined approach designed for beginners that is grounded in an understanding of physiology, muscle function, and emotional anatomy.

We address the primary functional regions of the face in 15 different follow along taping applications:
• the forehead and brow
• the eye area
• the mouth and jaw region
• and the chin and neck area

ADDITIONAL TOOLS

For precision and ease, we offer small sewing scissors as an add on.

How does face taping impact the skin and soften wrinkles?

Face taping works in two primary ways. First, it gently lifts and separates the layers of the skin, improving blood flow, supporting collagen production, and hydrating the superficial fascia. This subtle lift helps improve overall skin tone and function.

Second, the tape is applied in the direction of the muscle fibers, encouraging tight, overused muscles to relax and lengthen. Over time, repetitive facial movements can cause muscles to shorten, leading the skin—especially as elasticity decreases—to fold over them. By relaxing and elongating these muscles, the skin is able to lay more smoothly, supporting proper muscle function and resulting in firmer, more balanced, and more toned skin.

How do I apply the tape?

Each area of the face requires a slightly different tape application, so I recommend watching the tutorials as you begin. Keep these key guidelines in mind:

  • Use minimal stretch (about 20–30%).
  • Smooth the tape onto the skin without creating wrinkles.
  • Gently lift the tissue with your hand rather than overstretching the tape.
  • Lightly rub the tape to activate the adhesive.
How do I remove the tape?

Always remove tape gently, supporting the skin beneath—especially after several hours of wear. Mist the face with a hydrosol and apply a small amount of Earth Oil to your hands or directly onto the tape. Slowly peel from the base while holding the underlying skin with your other hand. Mild redness is normal and should fade quickly.
