“PIPE DREAM LA” HITS WITTMORE
JUNE 8 - 10, 2018
FEATURING CURATED OBJECTS FOR THE CANNABIS ENTHUSIAST
A series of retail pop ups celebrating the sophisticated cannabis enthusiast is launching next month in Los Angeles. PIPE DREAM LA, a collaboration between gallerist and designer Astrelle Johnquest and wardrobe stylist Michael Cioffoletti, will showcase an elevated approach to embracing the emerging marketplace for legal cannabis consumption. The first pop up will come to life inside Wittmore, the fashion and lifestyle shop located in the arts district of downtown Los Angeles.
"Our PIPE DREAM LA pop-up will present a tightly curated edit of our favorite artist and maker-made cannabis pipes,“ said Michael Cioffoletti. “Plus a special selection of ashtrays, vessels, rolling trays, and incense holders.”
Limited selections will include pieces from Ben Medansky, Miwak Junior, Love and Destroy, Eunbi and Stonedware. Several of Wittmore’s brand partners are developing customized items for the weekend, including Hiro Clark graphic tees, Appointed notebooks, Robert Siegel Studio ceramics, and wood and brass accessories from Craighill. CBD-infused apothecary brands Apothecanna and GARA Skincare will also be on hand sampling their product lines and teaching guests about the soothing and healing benefits of plant-based medicine.
As California and surrounding states continue to ease restrictions on the sale and use of both medicinal and recreational cannabis products, PIPE DREAM LA will provide a space for modern Angelenos who want to extend their creative, physical and mental health regimens to include the constructive use of cannabis in their daily lives.
“We are redefining the image of the modern pot smoker with our collection of chic objects and smoking utensils for the design-minded cannabis enthusiast,” added Astrelle Johnquest. Wittmore is hosting PIPE DREAM LA Friday – Sunday, June 8 – 10 during normal business hours from 11am – 7pm. Johnquest and Cioffoletti will toast their new endeavor with a special evening of cocktails and shopping on Friday June 8, from 7pm – 9pm. The event is open to the public. Wittmore is located at 300 S Santa Fe Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90013. Free parking is available with validation in the surface lot at One Santa Fe.
